Essential Resource List

The Essential Resource List (ERL) is updated following review of resource assessments by the Quality and Risk Management Group (QRMG). Decisions to add or remove resources are based on the assessment findings and the value each resource adds alongside existing ERL content at the time of review.

As resources may change over time, previous assessments may no longer reflect current content and functionality. Where significant changes occur, a resource may require re-review.

Local Medicines Information services are encouraged to use the UKMi resource assessment tool to assess resources and submit completed assessments to QRMG for consideration at a future quarterly review meeting.

Completed resource assessments are accessible to members only. These assessments provide details of the review process and the rationale underpinning QRMG decisions on resource inclusion within the ERL.

QRMG resource decision outcomes can be accessed by members only. This provides an overview of assessment outcomes, including decisions relating to the addition, retention or removal of resources from the ERL. This section, together with the completed assessments, provides a record of QRMG review activity and decision-making.

Updates to the ERL and newly published assessments will be communicated to members signed up for 'news and updates'.
